Amber capacitors ltd. An ISO 9001:2000 certified company, is a design, manufacture and service company dedicated to the capacitor business since 1990. The company uses 'state of the art' technology and has facilities as well as capabilities of in-house design and manufacture of a wide range of AC capacitors. Equipped with contemporary and sophisticated computerised automatic manufacturing and testing facilities, amber manufactures the capacitors to the latest international standards.

Throughout the manufacturing process, strict quality control is maintained.

At present, amber produces the following types of low voltage capacitors.

1. capacitors for power factor correction of ballasts for fluorescent and high intensity discharge lamps.

2. motor-run and general purpose capacitors in matchbox as well cylindrical designs for motors, air conditioners, blowers, etc.

3. capacitors for power factor correction of single phase anf three phase power systems up to 1000 v in dry as well as oil impregnated (non-p. C. B. ) designs.

4. Capacitors for mains frequency induction heating furnaces.

Most of the capacitors are "ul recognized components. "

In addition to the products mentioned above, amber can handle custom-based designs and specifications of reasonable volume requirements.

At amber, great emphasis is laid upon quality control. The quality assurance starts from selection of raw materials. The raw materials, such as metallised polypropylene film, metal spray wires, encapsulating resins, impregnating oils, solder wire, thermoplastic materials, etc. Come from world class producers.

Stringent quality checks are carried out at various stages of manufacture. The manufacturing takes place in controlled and dust free environment where required temperature and humidity levels are maintained. The type tests are carried out on randomly selected samples. In compliance with ISO 9000 requirements, full record is maintained for each stage of production.

The test equipment includes automatic clearing and sorting machine, high voltage test equipment, insulation testers, high speed components testers, withstanding voltage tester, etc. Which assure a high level of product quality.

Amber also metallises small quantities of film for certain applications on its own metallising state of the art equipment.
